Dr. Meyer earned his B.S. degree from UCLA in
1982. After receiving his MD degree from the University of
South Carolina School of Medicine in 1988, he completed an
internship in General Surgery at UCSD Medical Center in 1989,
and the following year a Fellowship in Neurosurgical Critical
Care and Trauma at UCSD. From 1990 to 1994, he served as a
resident in Neurosurgery and subsequently, Chief Resident
in Neurosurgery 1994-1995 at UCSD Medical Center. A Fellowship
in Complex Spinal Surgery was then performed under the auspices
of the Division of Neurosurgery at UCSD 1995-1996. Formerly
with Neurosurgical Medical Clinic 1996-1999, he is now a Board
certified Neurosurgeon and Medical Director of the San Diego
Neurosurgery and Spine Institute and the San Diego Brain Tumor
Institute. He is also president and founder of the San Diego
Brain Tumor Foundation.
